Areas for Development and Improvement

Areas for Development and Improvement.
In order to improve our skills and ideas for the future careers, we have to identify requirements for each industry we want to go into and then become as experienced in those skills. It's important to find the University for you one that concentrates in what you really are interested in. Art courses in university get you to bring a well structured portfolio showing work of written work, work in the certain course you want to go into and other things such as traditional drawing, work on software's such as Photoshop. Some university's  even get you to take a maths test, logic test and a timed live drawing session to really test your skills and narrow down the chosen student for the class which put a lot of pressure on students when attending the interview.

Action Plan.
Improve skills in digital software e.g. ZBrush, Maya, V-Ray Photoshop etc. - The reason for this is so i can feel more comfortable with the softwares and will soon be able to work fully indepentently without tutorials. To get to this level there are online tutors that teach to certain levels. This is the main website i would look at. http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/index.php

Take classes and practice each day with traditional drawing. - This is essential for any worker in this industry because it can be used at all times to either draw a character a landscape even just a quick concept of something to give people ideas and yourself. There are lessons at the college that teach you from basics how to do good detailed traditional drawings.

Begin working on a unique art style - This is a good thing to have to show independence. To do this I need to draw each day and start to see a pattern of some sort and start to decide on a style.

Improve grades on previous work - This will be good to do so I can have a solid amount of ucas points for university. To do this I need to in my upcoming work to have more critical analysis and more evaluation in work and try to go into more detail and add extra work. Most of my grades at the moment are Merits and in the feedback there is only slight changes to be made to up it to Distinction.
