Personal Statement
I've always loved games and spent a lot of my time as a child(most of my time) playing video games and reading gaming magazines.I enjoyed reading reviews of current and forthcoming games and have always been interested in looking for unique features in games. As I got older I became more interested in how games were made, how designers felt about the gaming industry, and where the future of gaming was heading. I found out about the 3D modeling side of games from videos on line and from friends.
I am currently studying for an Extended Diploma in Interactive Media and Game Arts at Plymouth College of Art which is a two year course at Advanced level (level 3).Within the first year we studied and learned how to use key software. In my first year we had the chance to work for 2 clients (Plymouth aquarium and Blue Lollipop media) which both went very well as we reached the deadline for the assigned work. These two tasks gave us practical experience of working to deadlines and enhanced our skills in many ways.
The second year of the course has concentrated on 3D modeling modules which I have really enjoyed and been exited about. These have then given me much more confidence towards 3D modelling enhancing my skills further than before.
In my own time I enjoy skateboarding with my friends which includes trips to other skate parks which is great fun and something always happens to make it memorable. When I'm not skateboarding I'm usually playing games on Xbox,PS3 and PC. Drawing in Photoshop and traditional has become something I do everyday to build up my skills.3D modeling has become something I think about a lot .I  think about how I could model it and if I can I'll take my ideas and work on a project. Sharing them with friends to see if they like it and what they think, is important to me as it gives me critical feedback, and a different perspective of my work. I really enjoy my course and feel that I made the right decision to specialize in this area after GCSEs rather than taking A levels. My attendance is excellent and I enjoy every day.I am totally motivated and would love to work in this industry it keeps me wanting.

Porfolio

My Portfolio process.
At first my portfolio looked too simple and there isn't much content.

This is a way i was thinking of showing my concept work by showing the original sketch and then the final I'm still not sure if i should present my work this way or show my original sketch in a separate page "traditional".

I've changed the design for my portfolio with a design that seems to show a larger image of my work which i need to show the detail in my work.
